The northern Adriatic is frequented by unusual fish species, originating mostly from warm-water seas. They were forced to search for their new home due to some widespread environmental changes: warming of the sea , over-fishing of native species and pollution. The occurrence of these unusual species in the Adriatic Sea is a consequence of global warming, artificially cultured new fish species and pollution from vessels, sewage and anchoring.
